AI by Zapier

Zapier's AI step, formerly Zapier Agents, that reasons and acts with tools inside any Zap.
Our Take
Zapier Agents became AI by Zapier on Oct 6, 2026. The agent's tool calling, reasoning and autonomous actions now run as a single AI step inside the Zap editor, so they can use any of Zapier's 9,000+ app triggers, filters, paths and Zap History. It's for teams already automating in Zapier who want an agent inside their existing workflows. New since the move: you can require approval per tool, not just all-or-nothing, and pick a model tier or a specific model for each step. Eligible agents are converted to Zaps automatically. Source
